'Feels like home'. That is how our students describe their feelings on staying at UniKL RCMP

Twenty-seven members of Kelab Kembara Kita (KKK) together with two advisors, Miss Syahidatul Akmar Safian and Mr Shaharul Afendi B. Shaharuddin Kee were involved in the ‘Kursus Asas Kembara’ at D’ Pulau Tibang Camp & Chalet, Ulu Slim, Perak. The camp was held on 8 and 9 September 2018 with the objectives of exposing the participants to basic survival skills, teamwork and the habit of making quick and accurate decisions.
Hence, all the activities conducted at the camp were focused on challenging their ability to be creative, innovative and cooperative in order to carry out given tasks such as pitching their own tents, conducting the flying fox activity, Burma Bridge crossing, night walk in the jungle, and hiking to the Lata Manik waterfall. Besides that, we also had a BBQ on the first day prior to the night walk activity.

All the participants had a great time throughout the event as they gained new experience and learned a lot about basic survival skills. It is hoped that more such adventure activities are implemented in the future in order to build up their confidence and self-esteem besides ensuring their preparedness to face any obstacles in life.
