'Feels like home'. That is how our students describe their feelings on staying at UniKL RCMP

UniKL RCMP Corporate Communications Unit recently hosted a friendly bowling tournament for the local media at Ampang Superbowl Ipoh, Ipoh Parade. The tournament was held in appreciation of the media’s support and close cooperation with UniKL RCMP over the past years.

Mr Thian Yee Wei, Head of Corporate Services Division said, “We thank the media for their coverage and reports on UniKL RCMP corporate social activities and hope the good relationship would continue.

Working with the media is important for us especially in areas where we need to improve public awareness about UniKL RCMP as a medical school as well as activities conducted by our students.”

  

“We thought it would be a good idea to promote camaraderie between members of the media and the UniKL staff so that we could get to know more people from the industry, especially in a fun and relaxed environment,” said Puan Nur Iman Wahab, Head of Corporate Governance Department.

Several members of the local media from Berita Harian, Ipoh Echo, RTM, Sinar Harian, Harian Metro, Kosmo, TV Al- Hijrah, Bernama, TV Al- Hijrah, BERNAMA, Utusan, Nanyang Siang Pau, and two teams from UniKL RCMP took part in the bowling tournament which was specifically arranged for this occasion.

  

The tournament ended with UniKL RCMP team led by Syahidatul Akmar Safian bagging the first place, with the second place going to the Sinar Harian Team and 3rd place being captured by the Ipoh Echo Team.

Winners of the tournament took home cash prizes as well as other attractive items including prizes for best male and female bowlers. The media members were later feted to a scrumptious dinner with a lucky draw session which offered more prizes for the media personnel.

 

The event that started from 2.00pm ended at 11.00pm on Saturday, 14th Dec 2018. The organizing committee would like to thank Ustaz Muhammad Iqbal, Mr Tay, Puan Shila, Cik Nudiya, Cik Akmar, Mr Danial, Cik Diana, Mr Syafiq and Corporate Governance Staff for their continuous support and contribution throughout the event.
