Mr Hisshamuddin Omar, CEO & Head of Campus of UniKL RCMP presented 50 employees with the Loyal Service Award in recognition of their commitment, loyalty and contribution to the growth of UniKL RCMP over a period of 10 to 20 years. The recipients each received a certificate of recognition, an award plaque and cash reward.
The ceremony which was held at UniKL RCMP Multi-Purpose Hall awarded 36 staff with 10 years’ service, 7 employees with 15 years’ of service and 8 employees with 20 years’ of service.
In his keynote address, Mr Hisshamuddin Omar congratulated all the 50 loyal service award recipients for reaching the important milestone in their career. He said, “If life is a journey, then you have truly travelled a great distance from your first day at UniKL RCMP (previously known as Perak College of Medicine) until today. I’m sure you have witnessed many interesting, challenging and significant milestones in both your career and in your personal life. As to date, we are proud to announce that 171 UniKL RCMP staff have received the loyal service award incentives since 2014”.
He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for their continued support and belief in this institution. “What you are about to receive is nothing compared to your endless commitment and contribution to this institution”.
Apart from the Loyal Service Award, the Academic Excellence Award was also awarded to 4 staff’s children who have excelled in their UPSR, PT3 and SPM examination for 2019. The award was presented by Associate Professor Dr. Syed Rahim Syed Hamid, Dean, Faculty of Medicine UniKL RCMP. In 2017 and 2018 nine (9) staff’s children have received the benefits.
Earlier, Mr Hisshamuddin Omar congratulated the Jom Sihat 3.0 winners who have put their fullest effort to reduce weight. “I am amazed to know that some of them have reduced up to 13 kilos of weight for the past 3 months. The Jom Sihat program started in 2017 with 28 participants. In 2018, the number increased to 31 participants and 66 participants in 2019. Well, I’m not surprised if the number increased to 100 in 2020”. The Jom Sihat Award was presented by Prof Dr. Ahmad Fuad Shamsuddin, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy & Health Sciences UniKL RCMP. The winner for the male category is Mr Nor Azizi Saad who lost 13 kilograms or 15.6% while Madam Zuraida Ramli won the female category with the weight loss of 9.8 kilograms or 13.7%. Both took home RM500.00 in cash.
Also present were Mr Ahmad Zakuan Khairuddin, Deputy Director, International, Industrial & Institutional Partnership (IIIP) Division and Associate Professor Dr. Zaswiza Mohamad Noor, Deputy Dean (Academic), Faculty of Pharmacy & Health Sciences UniKL RCMP.
