The UniKL RCMP library is known as the Tunku Azizah Knowledge Centre, Zamani Learning Hub since 2017. It is named after the consort of Tengku Mahkota Pahang (Tengku Puan Pahang Tunku Azizah Maimunah Iskandariah) and it is also the official name for the main library at UniKL Chancellery as well as all branch campus libraries. Zamani Learning Hub takes its name from the President of UniKL and former P.C.M Sdn Bhd. Chairman and former Director of MARA, Datuk (Dr) Zamani Mohd. Noor.
The Zamani Learning Hub is located on level four of the new building. The Library has been fully functional since September 2016 after migrating all its books and reference materials from the main building at Greentown Ipoh and from the Tasek campus.
The Zamani Learning Hub is equipped with more than 13,000 reference books mostly on medical and health sciences. In addition to this, the Library subscribes to the ClinicalKey e-database that contains more than 500 e-books and more than 1,000 e-journals. It uses the KOHA Library system, which is the centralized system for all UniKL libraries.
The study area of the library can accommodate more than 250 students at a time. It is equipped with study tables, carrels, 16 touch-screen computers, three discussion rooms, a TV with ENJOI channel, a large collection of CDs, a relaxing area with sofas, a photocopying cum printer for students use. It subscribes to two main daily newspapers namely The Star and Berita Harian. Besides, the Library has a collection of Reader’s Digest, Solusi, Health Today, i-Sihat and many other magazines.
Across the Library is the Chillax Room, equipped with study tables, sofas and a TV with ENJOI channel, where students can either have group discussions or relax.
The Library operational hours are from 8 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday and the Chillax Room is open from 8 am to 12 am from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays both the Library and the Chillax Room are closed. The Library is also equipped with token lockers and a drop box, where students may drop their library books if they are unable to return them during normal operational hours.
