JPT/BPP (R2/723/4/0076) MQA/FA 8735

The Diploma in Nursing course offered at UniKL RCMP provides a sound foundation in health sciences, behavioural sciences and nursing sciences using the integrated approach, which is applied during the clinical practice. It aims to provide a humanistic and holistic approach to nursing, preparing the nurses to be sensitive to the needs of patients and/or clients.

This is a three (3) year full-time study programme conducted at UniKL RCMP in Ipoh with practical sessions in various disciplines at several government hospitals, healthcare centres and health clinics in Perak. During this period, the students will gain exposure and experience for an exciting career in a variety of nursing roles and health care settings.

UniKL RCMP students are also encouraged to be involved in field work for instance at Orang Asli settlements in various parts of the country. With these structured and organized approaches in teaching, students will be more prepared to offer healthcare services to the community at large.

Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be conferred a Nursing Diploma recognized by the Nursing Board of Malaysia. The academic qualification is in compliance with the standard and quality set by the MQA. It is significant to note that Nursing graduates of UniKL RCMP have been employed in government and private hospitals in Malaysia as well as in foreign countries such as Singapore, Brunei, the Middle East, and Canada.
