Diploma Pharmacy Program initially offered at the year of 2002. This course aims to provide the students with an appreciation of the role as a pharmacist assistant working in a health care industries as well as community pharmacy environment. This course will prepare the students with foundation of their knowledge and skill to enhance their career path through further study in related field. With the knowledge and skill that have been inculcated into students during their studies here, they will be able to provide pharmaceutical care to serve the nation. The students will spend 3 years full time studying with practical experience at several government hospitals. The curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of the health sector and the key element of the course is the hospital based practical activities during semester 5 & 6 that provides the opportunity for students to put theory into practice. Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will get to seek opportunity to serve as pharmacist assistant at hospitals, community pharmacy or use their knowledge and expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing industries. Graduates can also further their study to Bachelor of Pharmacy or any degree in science depending on the entry requirements.


Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) or its equivalent with minimum five (5) credits (Grade C) in the following subjects:

·         Bahasa Melayu and

·         Mathematics and

·         English

·         Biology or Chemistry or Physics or Science; and

·         One (1) any other subjects

Applicants must have no serious physical or mental illness; and/or serious communicable disease(s) as per Malaysian Medical Council’s Fitness to Practise Guidelines.
