'Feels like home'. That is how our students describe their feelings on staying at UniKL RCMP

UniKL RCMP launched its ‘Ulul Albab’ Programme in September 2017 with the recruitment of a total of 40 students consisting of 15 males and 25 females.  Of this total number, 24 are from the MBBS program, 10 from the Bachelor of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Technology, three from Diploma in Pharmacy and one from Diploma in Medical Imaging.  They are divided into two groups led by Ustaz Hafizur Rahman bin Mohd Suhimi and Ustaz Muhammad Asyraf bin Saifuddin.

The students under this program are offered an additional ten hours of learning to help them with the Quranic memorization process. The additional hours of memorisation classes are held in the morning from 7.00am to 8.00am and another class conducted after maghrib prayers from 8.00 pm to 9.00pm, 5 days a week.

The objective of the program is to provide an integrated and balanced system of learning that caters to the spiritual, moral, intellectual and ethical values of Islam. The ultimate goal is to produce holistic professional Muslim students well ingrained in the tenets of Islam and its practices. The program also aspires to ensure the attainment of a balanced, just and united society by inculcating the spirit of justice, honesty and selflessness in the service of mankind. In addition, students’ daily activities will be modelled on the Quran and Sunnah.

Ulul Albab students who completed the 30 juzuk memorization will be required to sit for the oral (Tasmik Hafazan) and written test (Ujian Tahriri) for the Sijil Tahfiz Malaysia (STM) conducted and organised by Darul Quran JAKIM. These students will also be offered two additional courses namely Sijil Tahfiz Malaysia and Pensijilan Tahfiz Al-Quran.

Ulul Albab activities conducted in 2017 and 2018 include Musabaqah IQRA’ at International Islamic University of Malaysia; Intensive Course of Daie (ICD2018) at UniKL-MIAT;  educational visits to Darul Quran Jakim; Rehlah Tarbawi at Lata Kinjang and Kem Ibadah Smart Solat 2.0 at SMK Bawong, Sungai Siput, Perak.
